NTPC Darlipali welcomed 120 girl students under Girl Empowerment Mission 2023 from nearby villages like Darlipali, Raidihi, Loising & Laikera, on 5th May 2023. The four weeklong residential workshop will provide holistic education to girl children in the age group of 10-12 years.

Smt. Kusum Tete, MLA (Sundargarh) inaugurated the GEM 2023 workshop in the august presence of Shri A K Tandon, Chief General Manager (NTPC Darlipali), Shri Neeraj Jalota, Head of Project (NTPC Dulanga) and other dignitaries from NTPC Darlipali & Dulanga.

Smt. Pratibha Singh, AGM (HR) delivered the welcome address. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Smt. Kusum Tete (MLA) Sundargarh interacted with the girl students and motivated them to study judiciously. She also emphasized upon the importance of confidence and other social skills in life. Further, she appreciated the efforts of NTPC Darlipali for conducting the workshop and ensuring the holistic development of nearby girl candidates.

CGM (NTPC Darlipali) spoke about the workshop briefly and welcomed the second batch of students for Girl Empowerment Mission 2023 at NTPC Darlipali.

The workshop will prepare the girl child to instill curiosity and develop better communication and social skills. Furthermore, it will encourage girl children to get connected to a subject with their creative skills along with developing psychological, social & emotional growth.

The program was also attended by Sarpanch from nearby villages, senior officials of NTPC Darlipali, senior members of Abhilasha ladies club, faculties from Hero Mind Mine, parents of the girl students and volunteers of GEM 2023 at NTPC Darlipali. Shri Sameer Bhanja, DGM (R&R) hosted the inaugural session and delivered the vote of thanks.
